Skills Sessions
Skills Sessions focus on building confidence so players are comfortable and effective in game situations. Through repetition and structured training, players develop:
- Proper skating technique
- Strong puck-handling skills
- Passing and shooting fundamentals
Small Area Games Sessions
Small Area Games are high-intensity, game-like drills played in confined spaces (one zone or less). These sessions maximize:
- Puck touches
- Decision-making
- Player engagement
Overspeed & Edge Sessions
These sessions push players outside their comfort zone by focusing on:
- Edge work and edge control
- Change-of-direction skating (stops/starts, pivots)
- Quickness and lateral movement
- Skating efficiency and strength
- Skills both with and without the puck
Hockey is a game of constant movement and change of direction—these sessions are designed to improve those critical skating skills.
