Lady Wild Hockey Program
Welcome to the Lady Wild Hockey Program — Knoxville’s all-girls youth hockey movement! This is your chance to be part of something groundbreaking as we provide the area’s first-ever girls hockey program.

ELIGIBILITY & EVALUATIONS
Evaluations are required for all players interested in joining the Smoky Mountain Lady Wild Program.
Player Eligibility Requirements
All participants must:
- Be age-eligible
- Have completed a Learn to Play Hockey program
- Have completed at least one recreational league season
2026–2027 Age Divisions
- 8U: 2018, 2019, 2020
- 10U / 12U (Combined Players): 2014–2017
- 12U / 14U (Advanced Players): 2012–2015
- Note: Players within overlapping birth years may be placed on teams based on skill level, experience, and roster needs as determined during evaluations.
Evaluation Process
All players will take part in preseason evaluations designed to ensure the best possible team placement based on individual skill level and development needs.
After Evaluations
Once evaluations are complete:
- Teams will be formed and drafted
- Families will be notified of:
- Team placement
- Coach assignments
- Practice schedules
Note: The final number of teams will be determined by total registration numbers and overall player skill levels.
OUR FACILITY
Cool Sports, is a sports facility that offers a wide range of amenities for both athletes and spectators alike. Its premier attraction is the Icearium, a premier ice rink.
Most all practices and games are held at Cool Sports located at 110 S Watt Rd, Knoxville, TN 37934
Lady WILD HOCKEY SEASON COST AND STRUCTURE
The Lady Wild season runs from August through March, with a 2–3 day per week commitment.
Programming Includes:
- On-ice skill development (skating mechanics, edge work, and puck control)
- Team practices focused on systems, spacing, and game concepts
- Teams compete at the appropriate division to their overall skill and experience.
- Equal playing time is prioritized, with adjustments made at the coach’s discretion based on attendance, discipline, and game situations
- Focus on fundamentals, game rules, and developing team play concepts
- Requires mandatory House/Rec League participation.
LADY WILD FEES (Subject to Change)
12U / 14U (Advanced Players): ~$2,600
- Includes Fall/Winter League + Lady Wild programming
- 4–6 tournament weekends
10U / 12U (Combined Team): ~$2,300
- Includes Fall/Winter League + Lady Wild programming
- 3–4 tournament weekends
8U (Development Level): ~$1,750
- Includes Fall/Winter League + Lady Wild programming
- 3–4 tournament weekends
À LA CARTE OPTIONS
(For players also participating on a Smoky Mountain Wild Co-Ed Travel Team)
- Bi-Weekly Practice: ~$300
- Weekly Practice: ~$500
- Tournaments: ~$150 per weekend
Costs vary depending on team and level. Smaller or higher-level teams may have increased expenses due to travel, tournaments, and specialized coaching.
All program fees are all-inclusive, with no hidden costs.
Note: Uniforms, apparel, and travel expenses are not included and are the responsibility of each family.

- Kickoff Weekend – Winston-Salem, NC: Sept 18–20, 2026
- Charlotte, NC: Oct 23–25, 2026
- TBD: November (Dates TBD)
- Charleston, SC: Dec 4–6, 2026
- Knoxville, TN: Jan 2–3 or Jan 9–10, 2027
- Roanoke, VA: February (Dates TBD), 2027
- Charlotte, NC or Winston-Salem, NC: Mar 5–7, 2027
Note: There is a possibility of adding up to two additional tournament weekends for the 12U/14U team..
UNIFORMS / Apparel
Uniforms and team apparel for the 2026–2027 season will be ordered through Pure Hockey via a dedicated team portal.
Note: Uniform and apparel costs are not included in program fees and must be purchased separately by each family.

Registration must be completed online before the deadline. No walk-in registrations will be accepted at the rink.
